Merry Go Round

On Sunday afternoon Chad, Tyler, and I went to the mall (this was the HIGHLIGHT of Chad's weekend - he LOVES the mall!) Ha! NOT! Anyways, he did have fun watching Tyler on the merry go round and taking some really cute pics of Tyler!! Enjoy!

I can not believe how much my little boy has changed in just one year!! Wow!! Amazing!! He has gone from baby to toddler in a blink of an eye!!

Anyone who knows Tyler knows how much he loves to dance. I must say to that he really knows how to get down too! We were up in his bedroom listening to some song on the radio (I have no idea the name of it) but he just started dancing and shaking it and REALLY getting down....it was soo funny to watch him!! Our Funfilled Weekend without Daddy!!

This weekend Daddy had to go outta town to do some work at his ranch in Oklahoma. Tyler and I invited my little sister Jessica and her daughter Summer over for the day on Saturday. We all decided to go eat lunch at the mall (Tyler actually ate too - Yay!) Then after we rode on the merry go round! Tyler LOVED it! He was soo happy!! He had the biggest smile on his face and was laughing and just having the best time. After, we did some shopping - I bought a cute new sweater. Later on, we went home and Tyler and Summer played for a little while. The kiddos were getting pretty worn out by 3 PM so Jessica and Summer left for their house. Tyler had no nap today....I know I should have tried to give him one, but I figured maybe he'd sleep in the stroller or car...NOPE! He was in the bestest of moods in the evening! Hardly any fussing! I hope this does not mean almost the end of naps??!! Not ready for that just yet...
That was a HUGE HUGE HUGE mistake!! Tyler was up last night at 11:30PM and 3:00AM and then he woke up at 6:00AM....Needless to say I am EXHAUSTED!!! He got so tired around 9:30AM this Sunday morning..so he is sleeping now! I should be doing the same, but I can not take naps during the day.

Lunch at Hooters!!!

On Tuesday afternoon Tyler and I went to lunch at Hooters with our Mom's Group!! It was so much fun!! Tyler and all the other kiddos did GREAT!! Here are some pics of my little boy ALREADY looking at the girls...Oh my!!! What am I going to do when he is a little older??!!

Tyler had such a FUN Valentine's Day!! At his Mother's Day Out class they had a fun party where they got to exchange valentine cards, eat goodies, and do a fun valentine craft!! When he got home cupid left him something VERY special!! He got two new books (My son LOVES to read) He loved opening it!! I am thinking too that he loved the wrapping paper more than the books!! Ha! =) He got a book on farm animals and Chad's FAVORITE Barney!!! Tyler likes Barney too, even though Chad will deny that!!

My little boy has OCD just like me!!!

Ok, so you are going to think this is hilarious (or atlest I do)...Well, Tyler used to hate the vacuum cleaner was he was younger. Well, that was kinda a problem because with two dogs who are messes all the time I have to vacuum atleast every other day. So, I would put him in a front carrier and vaccum with him close to me. It worked!

Well, now a days Tyler loves to help me vacuum (he has his own vacuum cleaner too) and sweep too!! Yesterday I bought him his very own broom and dust pan set. He was soo excited!! Oh, if only these days would last!! My son getting excited over a broom and dust pan. Soon it will be a bike, 4 wheeler, car, ect. ect.!! Anyways, he swept the kitchen floor yesterday!! The PERFECT weekend!!

This weekend was AWESOME!!! Chad ended up taking off on Friday!! So, when Tyler was at his Mother's Day Out we got to go and purchase our brand new office furniture and night stands!! Woo Hoo - FINALLY!! Then we got to go out to lunch at Red's Patio Bar and Grill and have a yummy lunch together - just the two of us!! We picked up Tyler and went to the fish store where Chad bought some fish!! Tyler ended up spending the night with Rayme and Pa Pa both Friday and Saturday night!! Which was great!!
Chad and I went to a quick dinner on Fri night (our anniversary) then to a movie to see Fool's Gold. This was such a cute movie! That is one thing I really miss being able to do is go to the movies. Sat. we got to sleep in!! SOOOO nice!!! Sat afternoon was INCREDIBLE!!! We could not ask for better weather!! We were able to sit on the patio at Glorias for a while and sipped on some yummy margaritas while enjoying the AWESOME sunshine! Sat night Chad took me out to The Glass Cactus in The Gaylord Hotel!! This place was super fun!! I LOVE getting out and getting on the dance floor - which does not happen that often anymore!! After we left The Glass Cactus I convinced Chad to take me to Martini Park for a yummy ten dollar berry martini...which was SOOOOOO good!!! I had tons of fun, and could not have asked for a better weekend!!

Two WONDEFUL Years!!

Chad and I were married in Las Vegas on February 8, 2006. This weekend we are celebrating our two year anniversary!! Wow!! Time sure does fly when you are having fun!! Seems like just yesterday we were getting engaged and planning our wedding!! Today, we have each other and a little one!! Chad and I are going out Saturday night while the Grandparents keep Tyler over night....Woooo Hoooo!
We are going to The Gaylord in Grapevine for a nice dinner at one of their resturants and then heading over to Glass Cactus. We are very thrilled to have a night to spend alone with each other! This is for sure needed. Here are some pictures from our Las Vegas wedding two years ago! Enjoy!

Tyler and I went to a Mardi Gras playdate today! We had so much fun!! Some of Tyler's and my friends were there!! All the kiddos got to play with Ethan's (one of Tyler's friends from our mom's group) awesome toys. The kiddos got to color Mardi Gras pictures, make masks to wear, wear beads, & eat yummy snacks! They all had such a blast!!

I just loved this!! I really wish I had had my camcorder ready for this!! Guess that is why I ALWAYS need to have that thing close to me - you never know what will happen next in the life of a toddler!! Yesterday while Tyler was eating his snack right before his nap he got so tired. He started yawning and while he was eating his food he fell asleep with the food with his hand pushing the food in his mouth! It was so funny! I would say his name softly and he'd barely open his eyes and eat a little more...then again he'd fall back to sleep. Finally, he was done and asleep in his highchair. I had to tip toe him upstairs and try my best not to wake him. It worked! He took over a two hour nap!! Woooo Hoooo! Here is a picture from this wonderful snack time!

Life as a stay at home Mom

I'm a full time stay at home Mommy to my handsome little boy Tyler. Tyler was born in August of 2006. My husband is SOO wonderful for working SOO hard to let me stay home and raise the little one.
What have I learned about staying at home? You really don't have time to watch Soap Operas and eat Bon Bon's. I feel very misled. Even with the two days he is at his Mother's Day Out - which is so great!! Nope, no time!! That is alright by me though. I am just glad to be able to watch my son grow into a toddler. It is the most amazing change.
I would however like to ask....What happened to my little baby?? The one who use to want to be rocked, never stomp his feet and throw a mini tantrum, used to smile at EVERYTHING and never shout at me!! Those "terrible twos" are way here and he is not even two yet!! Tyler has a new thing now where he will YELL, scream to the top of his lungs to tell me "No Mama!!" It is the funniest thing!! I have to try not to laugh, but occasionally I can not help it!!
