Afternoon at the park with our friends

The weather has been so nice around here. Tyler and I decided we need to get out and enjoy since it'll be gone next week. We met our friends up there and had a wonderful time playing!! I love watching the kids play together!! It is so nice to have my Mom's Group, I seriously do not know what I would do with out them. Tyler has met some really great little friends and I have met some wonderful Mommy friends!

Here are a few pictures I snapped! Enjoy!

12 Weeks!!

Whew!! I've ALMOST made it to my 2nd trimester, which 'officially' starts next Monday!! Today, I am 12 weeks. It really feels more like 40 weeks. These 12 weeks have gone by VERY slow!! I am soo looking forward to the next!! Here is what our baby is doing this week.

How our baby is growing:
The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder.

Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby's brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.

What our baby may look like right about now:

WOW!! Amazing how fast he or she is growing!!

I can spell my name!

Tyler spelled his name all by himself in the bathtub this evening!! He found all the letters in his bathtub and put them all on the bath wall by himself. I am so proud of him!! I can't believe how much he is learning!! It is so amazing!!

Such WONDERFUL news!!

This afternoon I went for my 11 week appointment. I have to admit, I was a little nervous. But, I know that everything is out of my hands and totally in God's hands. I totally trust that he will do what is best for our family. Well, my Dr., Dr. Campbell gave me the what to do/what not to do, what to eat/what not to eat, and a description of all my upcoming appointments with her. She said she will more than likely deliver our baby via C-Section a week or so before my due date which is August 2.

We went to the room and she immediately found our baby's heartbeat with the doppler!! Baby's heartbeat was VERY strong!! Dr. Campbell said the heartbeat was in the 160s and she THINKS by the rate of the heartbeat it will be a girl!! YEAH!! You can not even imagine how incredibly relieved I was!! I really do have a great feeling everything with this pregnancy is going to be okay, but it was still such a good thing to hear!! I did not get a sonogram today. I get to go on Jan 20th for what is called an Early Screen that will test for downs syndrome and Trisomy 13/18. I will keep this up to date with what is going on!!

Thank you again for all of your prayers!!

Here is what our baby is doing at week 11........

Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden.

She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccuping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.
