Ashton's NINE month stats!

Ashton Jude is NINE months old today!!



Here are Ashton's stats:

Weight: 23 lbs (75%)
Height: 31 1/2 in (above 97% -- he's off the charts)....I think we may have a future NBA star on our hands!!!
Head: 18 (75%)

All and all Ashton is VERY healthy! He has a little lump on the left side of his neck that was concerning me a little, but she just said it's a swollen lymph node that is from a previous illness. It doesn't seem to hurt or bother him. We also talked about the car seat issue. He is a rather big boy and there is no way he can sit rear facing until 2 (like suggested by the AAP) -- I mean I guess he could, but his legs are already scrunched against the seat and he just does not look to comfortable. Don't get me wrong..I will for sure choose safety over comfort, but I just don't think he needs to be rear facing till 2. I know someone will have something to say about this and that is fine. But, I am entitled to my own opinion and that's that!Anyways, his pedi feels 15-18 months is good. I will see how he is at 1 year (like we did Tyler) and Tyler was so much smaller than Ashton and we switched him at 1 (a little before actually). I know the fear of the internal decapitation. We'll just see where he is at 1 and take it from there. His pedi also thinks he will be walking within a month. He is cruising around great and is even standing by himself with no help for a few seconds. He can not take his 1st steps when we are out of town though! I've already talked to Ashton about that. He was asked to please wait ;)

Storms, storms and more storms!!

The weather around here (and everywhere) has been crazy with lots of nasty, nasty storms!! I was watching the news this evening and so far in just April alone there have been over 750 tornadoes. That is just insane!! I took some photos of the clouds/storms last night. We didn't get anything too bad. Just lots of wind and some rain. Praying for all those who are suffering after all this nasty weather all over the place...

I'm NINE Months...almost!!!

What Ashton is doing at 9 months:
He's eating like a champ. He loves solids and he loves some finger type foods. He's only had real, real soft foods since he still gags on occasion. He loves it when you sing to him. His favorite is probably Rock A Bye Baby! He even likes to sing with you sometimes too. It's so cute!!! He is crawling, cruising, and even trying to stand up by himself. He loves his blanket. He HAS to have it at night so he can chew on it and give it love. He loves to play...especially with Tyler. He likes to play with everything he is not supposed to play with too. It's funny, he has a ton of toys, but he always finds Emma's dog dish, the TV remote or some of Tyler's toys that he's just too young for. He is a pretty happy baby as long as he's dry/clean and fed...he LOVES to eat!! He loves to go to the playground and swing. He also gets super excited when he sees a playground. You can so tell he wants to go play....soon!! I love him more and more everyday!! I am so thankful he is in our life!!

Just when he FINALLY goes down for a nap...

I have to wake him up!! UGH!! I don't think there is anything worse than HAVING to wake your sleeping baby. Oh well....just means he'll sleep good tonight, right!!??

Mmmmmm!! I'm eating so good!!

Today, Ashton's lunch consisted of a whole jar of the Stage 3 Split Pea & Carrot Soup (which he loved by the way) Again, he still seemed hungry, so he ate some watermelon and loved that even more!! He's doing soo good with eating now. He is barely gagging and getting most of it down!! I'm so proud of him. He also figured out how to drink from a sippy cup. He was just playing with it and chewing on the spout. He's getting to be such a big boy!!

Spaghetti for dinnah!

Tonight, Ashton ate spaghetti (the real stuff) for the 1st time. He loved it and he did so good with it!! He's been eating really, really good lately...not gagging as much on finger foods. He had a full jar of the stage 3 spaghetti and still seemed hungry, so I gave him a few of the pastas with sauce and he gobbled them up!! He made a HUGE mess, but it was so cute and so cool!!







Tyler was even excited to eat it too!!!

Kenny Chesney Concert - Goin' Coastal Tour 2011

Today, some friends and I got to go to The Kenny Chesney concert!! It was an AWESOME show!! I saw him when he first came out probably 13 or so years ago at Billy Bob's. This show was HUGE compared to that!! He puts on an amazing show! We had such a blast!! Below are some pics we took. Enjoy!!

More Bluebonnets Photos

Today, Tyler, Ashton and I met up with our friend, Mufyn and her kids, Austin and Ava to take a few more photos in the beautiful Texas Bluebonnets. They were so much prettier today than last week (I'm guessing from the rain?) Anyways, check out these kids. I had a blast (minus all the bees -- which seriously I do NOT like!)
