Today, my friend Lindy took Tyler's two year old pictures!! She did such an awesome job!! Any of you with kids though know how hard it is to just get the child to sit and actually look at the camera and smile. Well, after a few attempts of trying indoors we decided we'd try to go outside to the park! Well, that was a HUGE hit with Tyler. He loved it! Here are some pics from his shoot! Enjoy!

Texas Heat!

Since we live in this nice HOT city I decided we REALLY need a pool....Oh, I soooo wish!! Well, I did take the ball pit outta Tyler's playroom. He never used it. It is actually a pool. I put it in the backyard this afternoon and filled it up with some water. Tyler was a little hesitant at first. After about 15 mins of being outside he decided he'd get in the pool. Oh goodness! He had a BLAST! Here are some pics of the FUN afternoon we had! Enjoy!

Oh yea....I know he looks totally ghetto with no swim shorts on over his swim diaper...but it is just too hot....If I could get away with only wearing my undies outside I would soo do it!! =)

Tyler and Potty Training

Last night I was SOOOOOOOO excited!!! We were in Tyler's bathroom upstairs getting ready to take a bath. Tyler started saying, "Pee-Pee.. Momma". He went into the cabinet and by himself grabbed his Diego potty seat and placed it on the potty. I asked Tyler if he wanted to go pee-pee in the potty like a big boy and he said, "Yas, Yas" (That is his YES....it is just soo darned cute)!!
I placed the seat on the potty and he sat on it for a few minutes....Nothing happened..No pee-pee or poo-poo...But, it is a HUGE start!! Especially since he has not even wanted to go near the potty the past few months. Yay Tyler! I will keep working on this and update when he pee pees on the potty!!

My little boy is turning into such a big boy....I can not believe it!! I know, I know I always say that, but I really can not!!

My sick little boy! =(

My baby boy came home from school on Fri and it almost looked like he had a heat rash on his face. I really did not think anything of it since it is over 100 degrees here on most days. Later that evening I was giving him a hug and he felt a little warm. I took his temperature and sure enough it was 101. He was in such a good mood though, so I thought maybe he was just teething, again!! Well, around 5:30 AM on Sat. he woke up just screaming and he was just burning up!! I always get so scared when he runs a high fever. I tried to give him some water since I figured he was probably thirsty and maybe try to get his temperature. I tried to take it (that's always so much fun) and it was at least 103! Well, then he started throwing up and dry heaving. A few minutes went by and he stopped a was able to get at least Pedialyte in his system (thank goodness he likes that NASTY stuff)
I figured we better try to get into to the Dr since it being a Sat if he was sick we'd not be able to get in till at least Mon. Well, we got into the doctor's office around 10AM -- thank goodness for my son's pediatrician!! They are truly wonderful!!
Turns out Tyler has a version of the Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (his is at the back of his throat near his tonsils). I know, gross right?! Yea, well...the pediatrician said that it is a common childhood illness and it is going around day cares right now. So, he is home with me for sure for a few days. I will be glad when this is gone!! He is drooling SO much, will hardly eat or drink, is still running a low fever, and just does not feel 100%! My poor baby! Please say a prayer that he gets to feeling better! Thanks!

***UPDATE*** Tyler is all better!!

My baby is 22 months!!

I can not believe my little boy is 22 months today! Where did the two years go? It went so fast. Tyler has grown into such a sweet little boy! He is so loving and so helpful! He amazes me more and more every day! I am finally starting to plan his second party! It should be an absolute blast.

Crazy Hat Day at school!! Tyler got this hat at a friend's party and really wanted to wear it on Friday for his crazy hat day!! He looked so cute!

Tyler and haircuts...

Tyler gets his haircut it seems about 1 time a month because it just grows SOOOO fast!! Chad is a tad jealous that he has A LOT more hair than him!! (Love you Chad)
Well, as some of you may know going to get his hair cut was always such a chore!!!!! I would literally have to hold him down while the lady cut his hair and he would be kicking and screaming and well it was rather embarrassing. Well, the other day we went and Tyler sat in the little chair and got his haircut like a big boy!! NO tears at all!! I was soo proud of him!! The stylist gave him a lollipop - which he TOTALLY loved...I think that was his 1st one ever!! You should have seen it, it was all over him!! Anyways, I did not get any pics at the salon, but here are some pics of his short hair for this WONDERFUL Texas weather!!!

Father's Day Weekend

This weekend was a GREAT weekend!! I must say, my husband is AMAZING!! I am so thankful for him everyday. He does so much for Tyler and I! We love him so much!! Happy Father's Day, Chad & Daddy.

On Saturday afternoon our family went to visit my Dad at his house. We had a very nice lunch with my Dad, my step-mom, and there little girl, Faith. Tyler and Faith played so nicely together. It was so cute. Chad and I caught up with my Dad and Ann since we do not get to see them enough. We chatted for a while while the kids played. It was nice!! Happy Father's Day again to you Dad!! I love you very much!


On Sunday AM, Chad and I got to sleep in a little since Tyler slept till about 6:30ish....usually he is up at 5-5:30AM AND...he slept all night =)...so it was nice!!
That afternoon... Our family went over to Chad's parent's house for a fish fry/swim party. Tyler is FINALLY beginning to love the water. He stayed in this time and seemed to love it. We had lots of fun and it was nice to see everyone as well! Here are a few pictures we took of the weekend...Enjoy!!!

On Saturday we went to Tyler's little friend Ethan's birthday party! They had a really cute construction themed party!! We all had an absolute blast. I have not seen many of the people there (they are all in my Mom's Group since I have been working so much, so it was nice to get to see some of them).
