Happy 6th Birthday to our Tyler!!
I can not believe I have a six year old who is about to be starting 1st grade! Where have the past 6 years gone? How can it really go by that fast?! I remember just like it was yesterday going to the hospital and getting ready to meet him. I had no idea how I was going to be a Mommy. I really didn't think I could do it. All that worry changed as soon as I saw him. I fell in love immediately!! I am not going to lie, it was hard to get used to being a Mommy and there were tons of changes, but it was all so worth it! He made me the person (Mommy) I am today and I am so thankful for that! I thank God everyday for our blessing!! We love you to the moon and back, Tyler!
We didn't do an actual party this year for Tyler. Instead, we took him to Sea World earlier this month. See the earlier post. But, Tyler thinks this whole month is his birthday! Which is totally fine with me! We had my friend, Becky at Bedtime Bakers make him a little cake this weekend and it was awesome! She is amazing! Check her out if you need a cake! YUM!! https://www.facebook.com/bedtimebakers

38 weeks!
WOW! Almost done. Almost ready to meet him (well, actually....I AM ready to meet him!!) I do though hope he waits till after Tyler's birthday and after he starts school. I really want them to have their own birthdays and I REALLY want to be able to walk Tyler to school on his 1st day of 1st grade!!
What's going on at 38 weeks?
Your baby has really plumped up. He weighs about 6.8 pounds and he's over 19 1/2 inches long (like a leek). He has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold his hand for the first time! His organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.
Wondering what color your baby's eyes will be? You may not be able to tell right away. If he's born with brown eyes, they'll likely stay brown. If she's born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time she's 9 months old. That's because a child's irises (the colored part of the eye) may gain more pigment in the months after she's born, but they usually won't get "lighter" or more blue. (Green, hazel, and brown eyes have more pigment than gray or blue eyes.)
Here is what my big belly looks like.
One more week. SO excited! Can not wait to meet him!

Baby #3s Nursery
Yeeee Haaaw! It's finally done! Well, we still need his name above his crib, we'll get there. Here are some photos of Baby #3s Nursery
My friend, Brittany at Sew KuTe Concepts created this adorable window valance for his nursery. I love it. Check her out on Facebook. The link is above.
I love his room, but it's so small. It was hard to make everything fit and look perfect. I am very happy with it though! Can't wait to bring him home late next week!

My NEW big boy haircut!
I did it! I cut his hair! It was very hard to do! I debated whether or not to take him today, but it was time and with the new baby coming in a week and a half I needed something easy and of course super cute. I really loved his baby fine hair, but I am also loving his new big boy look. Is he not so stinking cute!?!?!

Baby Shower for Baby BOY #3!
Yep, we need a name don't we?! I /we (well, Chad loves Beckett) just can not decide! I am leaning more towards Beckett, but still need to see him to be 100% sure.
My good friends, Mufyn and Heather threw me an AWESOME baby shower last weekend! I had so much fun, got to spend some quality time with my wonderful family & friends and got lots of great goodies for the baby.
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped celebrate our new little blessing and a HUGE thank you to Mufyn and Heather for putting it all together for me! You two ROCK! Also, a big thank you to my friend, Jessica for snapping these pictures for me!
Thank you again to everyone who came out and celebrated our newest addition!

My sick baby boy!
This past weekend, Ashton started running a little fever. It wasn't too high and he wasn't acting like he felt too horrible. Saturday his fever seemed to go away and on Sunday it was just low grade, but he still acted okay. I went to my baby shower and when I returned, I decided to take him to Acute Kids. He looked horrible and I really didn't want to wait till Monday morning to have to take him to the Dr. Took him in, and of course they say he just has a virus and it needs to just run it's course. Grrrreat! I HATE viruses. There is nothing they can do for them. So, we go home and he just seems to get more miserable. Fever was back and he looked and sounded horrible. He went to bed okay. Woke up around 8:30ish and I let him lay in our bed. By 11:30 he was up again and was having a lot of trouble breathing and throwing up. I decided I needed to take him to the ER. We get there and they see him immediately! Thank goodness!! His fever was up to 104 and his breathing was really bad! They did all his vitals and he was not looking or sounding good. They did a chest x-ray. This was SOO hard. I could not be in the room with him since I'm pregnant. So, I am standing outside the door and he is screaming. I am trying my best to hold it together, but I couldn't. Thank goodness it was fast! After, I got him and as we're walking back to our room, he threw up all over himself and me. My poor baby!!! We clean him up and I clean up the best I can. Ashton started to calm down a little, but only wanted to lay in the bed right next to me (this is about the only good thing about having a sick little one....they LOVE to cuddle). The Dr comes in and says his chest is clear of pneumonia, but he does have Croup and an ear infection. Grrrrreat! So, they administer a breathing treatment (2 by the time we leave) and a steroid shot. He really gets irritable for a few hours. They said this is normal and is due to the steroid. About 2 hours or so later he finally is getting sleepy. The Dr came back and checked him and said he was sounding and seemed to be better. She said we could go home. We check out and arrive home around 3AM. I'm exhausted, but so is Ashton. We slept together and actually got some decent sleep. We take him back to his regular pediatrician the following day just to be sure his oxygen levels were better....and they were. They said it may take 2-3 days for him to be better.

****UPDATE****
It's now Thursday and he is doing MUCH better. He is still a little hoarse at times and his eating is not totally back yet. He is though drinking GREAT! I am so thankful he is better and SOOOO thankful I went with my Mommy instinct and took him to the ER. I always worry if I over exaggerate (sometimes yes, I do)...but thankful I took him!Thursday, August 9, 2012
Our trip to San Antonio
Last weekend Chad and I took Tyler to San Antonio to celebrate his 6th birthday a little early. We stayed at The JW Marriot right smack in The Hill Country. It was so pretty and such an amazing hotel! They had so much for the kids to do! I think Tyler's favorite was the water slides! We spent 2 nights there and on Sunday, we took Tyler to Sea World. It was lots of fun!! I am so thankful we were able to take him and spend a little alone time with him before the baby comes. We left Ashton with Chad's parents. I felt a little guilty not taking him, but after a few hours at Sea World, I am so thankful we did not take him. I can not imagine having to chase after him. Next year, I am excited to take the whole family!
Here are some pictures I snapped from our weekend together.
