On Sunday afternoon all of our family & friends came to our house to celebrate Ashton's very 1st birthday!! It was an awesome afternoon!! Everything went so great and best of all, Ashton had such a wonderful day!! I snapped a few pics of his very special day.

Meet the newest addition to our family.....

Meet Rubie Mae!!! Chad has been talking for ages (since Ruby passed away) about getting a new friend for Emma. Emma always seems so sad. She will just sit and stare at you like she really, really wants attention...can you blame her?! Anyways, we've been putting it off since we are so busy with the kids and everything else in our lives right now. Finally, about 2 weeks or so ago he found a doggie named, Rubie Mae. She was adorable in her pics!! She sounded like such a sweet doggie. I was a little nervous about getting a new dog right now. I am so busy all day long with the two kids...I could not imagine adding a new animal to the daily grind!! But, luckily about 1 week ago we met our new dog. She was and is perfect!!! She is so good!! She has not had one accident yet.....knock on wood, she plays nicely with Emma and the kids...thank goodness! She loves to sit with you and cuddle. She is a great friend for Emma. The only thing we've noticed is she gets scared if you tell her no..or raise your finger. We think someone maybe abused her. I can not see how anyone could do that to this or any animal for that matter. Breaks my heart!! Anyways, she is home now!!! We love Rubie Mae so much and are so glad we found her!!!

I can't believe it's been a year already!! I know, I know! I always say that...I mean it though. It's gone so fast!! Ashton is such a sweet baby...I mean toddler! Here is what our Ashton is doing at ONE year!

he makes noises for cars

he eats whatever you feed him

he loves Tyler and thinks he put the moon in the sky

he climbs on everything

he opens drawers and cabinets...even the locked ones

he climbs the up the stairs and down the stairs too

he uses a sippy cup like it’s no body’s business

he uses a straw pretty well, too

he’s potty trained (just kidding, are you paying attention to my ramblings)

he gives 'fives'

he gives the best kisses on the planet. big open mouth slobbery ones. best ever!!

he is walking and almost running

he kicks the soccer ball

he loves to share his food with you

he claps his hands

he loves when you sing to him, read him a book and his most favorite when you play monster with him

points to EVERYTHING and talks about it...it's so cute!

I'm TWELVE Months Today!!!

Been soo busy!!!

Sorry I've been MIA! I've been super busy with the boys and my new photography gig! I am so super excited about it! I had my 1st photo shoot last Sunday, and I think the photos came out GREAT!! Thought I'd share a little bit else that's been going on around here. Can you believe I'm about to have a 1 year old and then next month a 5 year old who is starting Kindergarten?! Wow, I can't!! We're ready for Ashton's 1st party, which is next week and then starting to plan Tyler's.

I'm getting so big!!

Ashton is now walking almost all the time. Seriously, last week he was crawling and now he's walking. AMAZING!! He still crawls on occasion, but mostly walking or toddling. Does this mean he is officially a toddler??!! He is also loving peek-a-boo! Soo cute!!
