"Before" Pictures

We've had soo much rain here. I don't mean little sprinkles either!! We've had like 10 or more inches or rain this month and some really heavy down pouring!! Of course, we have had several roof leaks. One has been a re-occurring one and this time it leaked pretty bad. We contacted our insurance company, again and FINALLY they said we need a new roof and we need our interior fixed!! YEAH!! SO, Chad and I figured why not do some updating in a few of our other rooms while our house is an ABSOLUTE disaster!!

Here are some before pictures.

Here are some before pictures from our formal living room, although I do not consider this formal yet. We have a little bit more work to do in this area. I want to get hard wood flooring and some new furniture. Someday!!

Our family room. We had a HUGE fish tank in this room that leaked. This leak was really bad. Chad was at the Dallas Cowboy Football Game tailgating when I had to call him and tell him his tank was leaking. I tried everything to turn off the tank's water supply to unplugging all the plugs. It continued to leak. Well, turns out the actual glass portion of the tank was leaking. Well, he tore the tank apart taking everything out. He had to sell most of his corals so they would not die and he lost most of his fish. I am HIGHLY pissed this happened, at the company who made this tank. Anyways, he decided to get rid of the tank (they are building him another free of charge since this was the company's fault. He is going to sell it after it is done. I am sad to see that awesome tank go. He still has a small tank in the formal living room and a small tank in Tyler's bedroom.

Anyways, here are some before pictures of our family room.

Our kitchen

And, the hallway and up the stairs

And, let's not forget the wonderful roof leaks.

We also had a tiny leak spot in Tyler's upstairs playroom that we are going to paint ourselves as well as a leak on our exterior patio that will be repaired when our roof is repaired this week.

I will post all the after pictures later in the week after the interior job is done.

Tyler really has the Sillies Saturday!!!

Tyler is soo funny sometimes. He watches me do everything and loves to repeat what I do (yeah, I've really got to watch what I do and say all the time now) He found one of those deals that will hold back your hair when you are working out or at the beach or whatever and put it on his head (just like his Mommy) It was soo stinkin' cute!! He is soo silly and I absolutely love it!!

I'll have to save these and show them to his prom date!! Hehehehehe!!

I Thought Of You

I found this poem on my Baby Center site. It in some strange way makes me feel a little better about our loss. I know I was only 11 weeks and never felt our baby move or anything like that, but I still miss our baby soo much! I thought I'd share this with anyone who has also suffered a loss.

I Thought Of You

I thought of you and closed my eyes and prayed to God today.
I asked what makes a Mother and I know I heard him say.
A Mother has a baby this we know is true.
But God, can you be a Mother when your baby's not with you?
“ Yes, you can ” He replied with confidence in His voice
“I give many women babies; when they leave is not their choice.
Some I send for a lifetime and others for a day.
And some I send to feel your womb but there's no need to stay.”
I just don't understand this, God, I want my baby here.
He took a breath and cleared His throat and then I saw a tear.
"I wish I could show you what your child is doing today.
If you could see your child smile with other children and say"
"We go to earth and learn our lessons of love and life and fear.
My Mommy loved me oh so much I got to come straight here.
I feel so lucky to have a Mom who had so much love for me.
I learned my lesson very quickly. My Mommy set me free.
I miss my Mommy oh so much but I visit her each day.
When she goes to sleep, on her pillow's where I lay.
I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek and whisper in her ear
"Mommy don’t be sad today, I'm your baby and I'm Here".
"So you see my dear sweet one, your child is OK.
Your baby is here in My home and this where she'll stay.
She'll wait for you with me until your lesson is through
And on the day that you come home she'll be at the gates for you.
So now you see what makes a Mother - it's the feeling in your heart.
It's the love you had so much of right from the very start.
