Ashton is Baptized

We were finally able to do Ashton's Baptism. He was really sick earlier this month, but now is better for the most part. The Baptism was really nice. Ashton got a little fussy and tired. All in all though it was really nice! I really wish the pictures of his Baptism would have come out better, but they did not allow flash photography and they would not let you stand up to take pictures. Oh well, you get the picture..

SIX months!

My baby boy is growing up way way too quick!! He is almost sitting up by himself, eating solids like a pro, rolling over all the time and is such a happy baby (as long as all his needs are taken care of)!
Here are his 6 month stats:

Height : 28 1/4 (95th%)
Weight : 19.5 (90th%)
Head : 17 (40th%)

All and all, Ashton is very healthy! He still has the lingering cough, congestion and some wheezing. His pediatrician wants him to have a breathing treatments daily until it is better. I'm giving it one month. I need my baby ALL better!!

The weather has been wonderful here the past couple of days!! Tyler loves to go to the park and even more LOVES to feed the duckies!! Ashton really loves to watch everything around him. We had such a fun afternoon together!!

Enjoying some wonderful weather!

Today, the boys and I went to the park to enjoy the beautiful weather while it's here. Ashton had such a blast!! He sat in the swing for the first time and just soaked in everything around him. After, we went to look at the ducks and Ashton was just so excited!! I love it!! Tyler loved showing everything to his little brother. He is such a fantastic big brother!! Makes me so proud!!

Why oh why.....

does my child sleep like this?? This is the only way he will go to sleep at night! He takes his blanket and eats it and then covers his head. I always go up there and take it off his head. Sometimes in the middle of the night he'll have his head covered (we have a video monitor) and I freak out when he does not wake up, so I go and check on him. I know he is almost out of the SIDS scare, but still kinda freaks me out! I've thought about taking out the blanket, but it's cold upstairs and literally he HAS to sleep with it. It is a light swaddle blanket...anyways, just had to share.

My Sweet Boys

How sweet are they?? I just love them both so much!!!

It's official....Tyler is growing up too fast!!

Seriously, I remember people saying once you have children time goes by even faster. I really thought to myself, "No, that's not going to happen". Let me tell you it does! Tyler is 4 1/2 and starts Kindergarten this year! I remember just like yesterday when he was a baby. He just moved into a booster seat this weekend. I was hesitant to get him out of his car seat, but he was just getting too big for it. He loves his new booster too. So, here he is....my BIG boy! I'm kinda sad....kinda happy....don't know if that at all makes any sense.

Back to Solids!!

Yesterday I decided I think it's time to try solids again with Ashton. We started when he was a little over 4 months and it just did not go to well. He had really really bad liquid poop and vomiting right after the baby food. I was so excited yesterday when Ashton kept all the food in!! I wanted to try something different...this time he ate carrots! OMG...he LOVED them!! He gobbled them down right away. He did not even try to grab the spoon like he kept doing last time. He ate some more this afternoon for lunch and he still seems to be doing great!! I am so thankful. I was really worried that he would not enjoy solids. Also, last night he slept from 8PM-5AM. Took a quick bottle and went back to bed until almost 7:30AM. It was so nice!! I did wake up at 3AM and got a little worried, so I went to check on him. He was great! :)

Snow Day!!

It snowed today....and sticked! It was so pretty! I so wish we got more of this white stuff around here.
Tyler was so excited to get to play outside in the snow, build snowmen and play with all his neighborhood friends. Ashton liked being outside for just a few minutes, then wanted to be back inside in the warmth....Mommy too!! It was cold!! I sucked it up though and got out for a little bit with Tyler. Hoping the snow sticks around for a few days...it might since it is supposed to stay cold for a few days now.

Bubble Bath Time

I've been looking for something to put Ashton in while he takes his baths. He is really getting too big for the infant tub (yes, and he is only 5 months). He can't sit up by himself yet, so I really have no idea what to put him in. Well, my brilliant self thought why not put him in his BeBe Pod. Well, Carly the thing floats! And, while Ashton is sitting in it in the tub he is floating around in the water too. Probably not the safest, but I was right there with him. He seemed to love and Tyler loved playing with Ashton in the bath. I did not get a ton of photos, since I was trying to pay close attention to Ashton. But, here is one cute one of the boys.
