*~Tummy Tuesday ..... Week 35~*

35 weeks preggo...less than 4 weeks to go and we get to meet our Baby Ashton. We're soo excited!!
On a side note....Nice tan lines, right?? Those maternity swim suit straps are horrible!! I'll be so glad to get outta my maternity swim suit and put on my regular one...which I know will probably not happen this summer. Next summer for sure!

What's going on in my tummy at 35 weeks?
Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in your womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.

Tummy Tuesday! 34 Weeks!

WOW!!! In 5 weeks (or less) Ashton will be here!!! I can't believe my pregnancy is almost over and we're about to have a baby!! I am truly excited and can not wait for his arrival. We're all ready too! His room is complete, clothes are washed, and 98% of the supplies are purchased. YEAH for me! I love being on top of things!!
Anyways, here is my belly at 34 weeks! It's HUGE, lol....MUCH bigger than Tyler!!


My sweet Tyler and I. He is also soo excited about being a big brother. He talks all the time about his baby brother, Ashton. He tells me how he is going to help me with his brother and how he can't wait to play with Ashton. Soo exciting!!



Here is what is going on at 34 weeks with Ashton:
Your baby now weighs about 5 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate him body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.

33 weeks and Ashton is perfect!!

Went for my checkup today and Ashton is doing great!! He is a little over 17 inches long and weighs 5 pounds. He has long eye lashes and a full head of hair. My OB said he got an A+ on everything they checked and is a healthy baby boy!! Here are a few pics of our baby boy!

My baby shower cake. It was soo good and it matched Ashton's nursery theme. It was lemon flavor on bottom and toasted coconut on top. DELICIOUS!

Ashton's Nursery!!

Ashton's nursery is finally complete!! I'm so excited!! We chose a jungle theme with sports. It looks awesome and I'm very happy with the way it came out! Chad seriously thought I was so crazy to want it done a month before he is supposed to be born, but now I can relax and not have to worry about painting, putting up furniture, washing clothes (which yes..that is done too) Woo hoo! I can not wait for Ashton to see his room! I love it!!

My friend, Breanne made these letters for Ashton's room. She did an incredible job! They look so great over his crib. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Breanne!

The glider and ottoman. I decided I wanted something nice and VERY comfortable this time around. With Tyler we had a pretty uncomfortable chair. With as much time as I spent in it I wanted something comfy.

Painting at Color Me Mine!

This morning Tyler and I went to Color Me Mine. It's a really cool pottery painting place. I was hoping to make something for Daddy for Father's Day, but Tyler had it set in his mind he wanted to paint Dumbo. Don't think Chad is into Dumbo. Oh well. Tyler had a blast painting and he did a really good job!! We get to pick up Dumbo next week after they bake it in the oven. I will post his finished masterpiece then.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

This weekend our family spent A LOT of time outside!! It was HOT though!! On Sunday, Chad and I took Tyler to Haven & Tatum's 4th birthday party. It was at The Frisco Horse Ranch. I was so excited for Tyler to be able to ride his 1st horse. He LOVED it! He did it all by himself too. No help what so ever from Mommy or Daddy. Yes, I was a tad nervous, but he did GREAT! We had a great time!

After, we spent the rest of the afternoon at the pool. We did the same thing on Monday. It's too hot outside and the pool is the place to be it seems! Tyler is doing awesome in the pool. He can swim with help from his flotation outfit. It works out great! I do need to enroll him in some sort of swim class though so someday he can get out of the flotation device and swim all by himself. Also, if he did ever fall in (which he has before) he'd be able to save himself.
