Today, we FINALLY went to Tyler's 2 year appointment with Dr. Mehendale! Tyler is right on track with EVERYTHING! He can stack at least 5 blocks-- he can do MUCH more!!, use 3 word sentences, walk up and down stairs -- woo hoo -- this is enough to scare me each time he attempts this, follow simple instructions -- most of the time, can carry several toys when walking, recognizes objects, sorts shapes, uses a spoon and fork, uses at least 50 words - he is using 200-300+++!!, and of course he is beginning SOMETIMES be more independent. My only concern was his sleeping. She said he is waking up just because he wants me and I HAVE to stop going up to his room and just let him cry it out. She said to try this for one week and if it does not get better there is a sleep clinic she can send him to to see what is wrong, if anything. So, I know, I know...I am going to do this!!
Dr. Mehendale was very impressed with Tyler!!
Here are Tyler's 2 year stats!!
Height: 35 1/2 -- 65th percentile
Head: 19 3/4 -- 80th percentile
Weight: 25 lbs -- 20th percentile -- I did opt not to remove his clothes for his weight check since he was already a little upset at being there.
Tyler, Elmo, and Shrek are all ready to go see the doctor!!
